What is the difference between front-lit and side-lit?
Front-lit tubing follows every line of your artwork, so the design must be simple, clean line art - best for bold text, simple logos, icons and minimalist designs. Side-lit tubing follows only the outer contour (silhouette) while the acrylic panel displays the full design, so detailed artwork with patterns, shading or complex shapes works well.
What artwork do I need to supply?
Any original drawing, symbol, logo or graphic. Every order gets a proof made first so that you can review and make any changes if needed.
What sizes are available?
12, 18, 24, 30, 36 and 48 in on the longest finished acrylic edge (roughly 30, 45, 60, 75, 90 and 120 cm). The other edge follows your artwork proportions. Any other size or special proportion is available by artwork-based quote.
How many LED colors can I choose, and which acrylic backing goes with each style?
Front-lit signs can use 1, 2 or 3 colors on black or clear acrylic. Side-lit signs use exactly 1 solid color on black acrylic only. Three colors is the maximum recommended. In multicolor artwork, mark every color area so each one is assigned correctly.
How much do extra colors cost?
1 color is included on both styles. On front-lit, 2 colors is $8/pc and 3 colors is $12/pc for orders of 1-9 pieces; both are discounted 50% ($4 and $6) for 10-49 pieces; and color upgrades are free on orders of 50 or more - built for car clubs and group buys.
How is the total price calculated?
Total = size starting price + lighting style add-on + color add-on. Front-lit adds $10; side-lit adds $0. See the Price Chart tab for the size grid and both add-on tables.
What is included, and what is not?
Included: one custom acrylic LED sign, a USB power lead, a USB car charger (12V cigarette-lighter adapter), suction-cup mounting, one digital proof and an artwork feasibility review. Not included: shipping, tax, rush service and major artwork redraws.
How is it powered and mounted, and is it safe to display?
It runs from the included USB lead and 12V car charger and mounts to the window with suction cups - no wiring or installation. The sign is for display use only: do not obstruct the driver's view, and follow your local vehicle-lighting and road-use rules.
